I started with AntiX 8.0, the one based on stable, got rid of gdm, lde and replaced with xfce4. Wireless took a bit on my Dell Latitude E5400, mostly when changing from home to coffee shop. Wicd solved that. Got the Alps touchpad working using florh’s example and experimenting.
Anyone else find any distro especially easy to install on a laptop?
I found that Mepis has always been a delight to use and install on a number of different machines, including laptops. They seemed to be the first distro to really sort out Wireless drivers too!
