Am in need of domain controller.
There are lots of how-tos and tutorials out there for samba. I would suggest finding one at first, trying it out, and if you have issues; feel free to ask us how to fix it.
To give you a head start, here is a list of things to do with your setup:
in the smb.conf:
Domain Name
set "security" to USER
Preferred Master
Domain Master
Domain Logins
If you want home directories to be on the server:
set a netlogin share
set login drive
set login home
Also, be sure to use the command ‘testparm’ to check your config.
