I use cfdisk,but I’m a newbie
Maybe some ppl know it better than me
At work I could not use Hirens Boot CD:
http://homepage.ntlworld.com/hiren.thanki/bootcd.html
to display Solaris partition for SunFire V20Z server ,,,I had to use Mandrake 10 utility to do that,,,,,
What is the recommended partition utility, when we want to deal with these two OSs (Linux, and Unix).

What is it you want to do? When you say "display a solaris partition", you mean show the partition table and see the partition there, access the partition from a non-solaris system, or something else entirely?

Because solaris has not been installed proberly, therefore I was looking to delete all partitions and start form scratch.]
Whatever version of Linux you install will most likely show you what partitions are available, and give you the option to delete any partition you want.
