    setting sticky bit

    Hi,

    I am confused of using sticky bit. can any anyone explain the use of setting up the sticky bit.

    what is the use of using setuid,setdid command.

    sticky bit is useful at common folder for all user with read and write access. With sticky bit only owner can delete the file.

    GID bit used on folder ,GID bit folder apply owner group on each newly created folder and files in that folder

    UID bit is used for run command with owner of file insted of login user.
