make backup/image of centos5 to install on new server

want to swap boxes my home server is running on. they are different hardware. can i use a utility to backup/create image of current box to auto load on new server??

i found this article, not sure how it works though.

    http://www.smokinglinux.com/tutorial...your-linux-box

I want to basically just copy an image of the working server from one to another. Including running services, configurations of services, scripts, etc.

    thanks
