Uninstalling everything still low disk space

Ok guys I have a 3gb partition for xp and I only have these things installed and no space left on the partition:
    Adobe Acrobat
    AIM
    Ndidia drivers
    Steam/CS
    Warcraft3

And I'm all out of hd space. Dosent matter what I uninstall hd space dosent change. I've uninstalled major apps and still low hd. I had to even get rid of mozilla. I think I heard somewhere that XP back ups everything to go back to. So is that what I'm dealing with here?

It doesn't exactly backs everything, but makes snapshots. To disable it, right-click on My Computer>Properties>System Restore, and turn it off.
