    home network and ifplugd

    Hello
I have just installed Mandrake 9.2 on a friends computer. All works fine but I can't get the network to start at boot time. I can start it manually once logged in. The network modal is set to be initiated at startup but I get the following error ' Sorry there is already an instance of ifplugd enabled for eth0'. What is ifplugd? what's initializing it? any Ideas?

looks like it is a tool to setup interfaces more automatically then an ifup command. - i would dump it it unless ya need it.
