Thread: Silly question

    Silly question

Let's say I'm ready to pay up 200 per each RH server I have.
Let's say all of those boxes are RH8
After I pay for them to RH, what happens next? They send me some CD with enterprise version and then I should reintall RH on each server? Or can I just keep RH8 version on the servers and have the needed maintenance, support, and errata because I paid for it?
    Thanks.

Just spoke with RH Sales....can't beleive my eyes, here is what's going on.
They send you Red Hat enterprise Linux version, which is a separate installation. If you run RH8 (or any other) - YOU CAN'T UPGRADE. You need too wipe out your RH installation, install RH Enterpise and then restore data to that box.
    Not exactly the best scenario......

You have RH8 working just fine on you servers.

Why do you have to change them?
