    lame install help

I'm sure this is like my 10th stupid question here, but I can't get lame to work. I installed the source code via ./configure, make, make install and it seemed to work. There is a lame executable located at usr/local/bin/lame but if I type lame at the command line or through GRIP it says command not found. I checked permissions, everyone has execute permissions. Am I doing something wrong here?

    Re:lame install help

    Hi,

This is a very common issue. Usually, you just don't have the location in your PATH.

Try typing the whole path to see if it works. If it does, then you just need to add /usr/local/bin to the /etc/profile PATH.
