    xmms buggy

for some reason xmms gets all staticy around the beginning of every song. I don't think it's the songs, they're all good. Certainly isn't a problem with resourses, the cpu is usually only at like <10% when this happens. I'm not sure what to try, cuz it's really annoying.

poor codec files ? Perhaps rebuilding the XMMS package or the MP3 codec will resolve this.

    Re:xmms buggy

it's only buggy for a few seconds, and it's only at the beginning of new files, like 10 seconds in usually.

I've tried re-building xmms. not sure how to rebuild the mp3 codec.

I've thought that maybe it was the output plugin, but I don't think that's it. I don't know what to do. Are there other media players out there?
