The link that Mojo Jojo posted is the list of known Windows applications that work with Wine.
You want to check that before trying to use wine to run a windows application.
Running Windows applications under linux is a slow and exasperqting task at best. I'd suggest you use native linux applications instead of Windos ones. Basically, ou are bound to find lots of strange errors, and very few people use some applications under Wine, so you might be stranded without help for some errors.
Lastly, when you see a post that proposes a fix, try to do it. If you don't know how to do it, ask then "how do I do such and such?" Otherwise, you are asking people to do your research for you.
