I hear that it is very nice. But that is hearsay. I would have to say I would go after Squirrel first and see if it works out. How bad do the configs look, what kind of crap are people dealing with on the mail lists ...

The WebMail that I deal with now, is a proprietary solution that uses something like Linux or FreeBSD to do a Webminesque server gui. It works suprisingly well. It does it all, and uses all OSS tools. Fair prices too. I would say that there is in the cost

A dual p4 with 1 gig of ram and dual (maybe triple) 40GB hard disks run about 4K. Then any service contracts. My issue is this :

How quick are patches going to be applied after Apache/BIND/Kernel patches come from the developers? If its within a work week, I am happy. So far it has. But then again, that may change. And with zero ability as of now to SSH (I gotta VPN in) or telnet (not that I would allow that) or rsh (or that), I cant do manual updates the Linux/BSD way. There are really no mail lists. Nothing really. Just a user forum that is essentially an ad and update notice.

Good units though.
