SQL Server 2k: Copy a DB

    Hey all,

I am needing to copy a database using SQL SERVER 2k to another database within the same server. I have tried
    Code:
BACKUP DATABASE databasename TO DISK='D:\place\databasename.dat' WITH PASSWORD='pass'

RESTORE DATABASE newdatabase FROM DISK='D:\place\databasename.dat' WITH PASSWORD='pass'
But it errors out basically saying that both databases exist. If I add the replace command then it "works" but nothing is changed in any database.

Anyone know an easy way I can copy a database without taking the server down or linking and unlinking?
