This is my advise:

Don't try to do a million things at once. Either learn how to use your floppy or learn how to get the modem to work, but not both at the same time, or you will get confused.

My modem driver is on floppy.

Ok let's get my modem to work not floppy. I'm going to download the driver to my drive. I have to go dig in PM's.

I'm not sure if you are ware of this, but is something that has made my life easier.

When you do the cd /mnt/floppy, type "rpm -ivh p" and then hit the TAB key. that should complete the name automagically, and make sure you are not misspelling anything.

What do you mean that it made your life easier?? I don't understand what you mean by that.

That command you gave me it failed. Here is my output.

Derek, when you are in the process of typing in rpm -ivh p, press the TAB key once you have typed in the letter 'p' and it will fill in the filename for you.

I didn't understand what you want me to do.
