    VMWare 4 on Slack9.1

Okay, when I initialize the vmware installer it ask a series of ???s and when it comes to "Where is the directory that contains the init directories (rc0.d/ to rc6.d )" I can't seem to find where they are. There's a rc.d in /etc, but thats about it. Any help would be appreciated.

/etc/rc.d/ is the directory that contains the init files.

    hello,
have a looky at this page
    http://www.slackware.com/config/init.php
    - you may need to create a directory called /etc/rc.d/rc0.d or make links to where the directory that vmware needs is.

I finally got it to work, all I did was mkdir rc0.d ..... rc6.d. Thanks for that link pbharris. I'm still not that fluent with linux yet, but that link was very informative, thanks.
