have you looked at www.xpde.com yet?? it already looks and feels like windows xp.
I think this is the place to talk about this.
I want to download IceWM and it runs under Linux but looks like Windows. I tryed to do a google search on IceWm download and i get a whole bunch of info and i don't know which one is the right one to download. I will give you the website.

I don't even know where to begin on how to install it. Here is the name of the file that i download.
xpde-0.4.0-nolibs-20030730.tar.gz
It's in the folder called /home/dsanta

well generally you uncompress it and see if there is a readme file there. It has all the needed info to answer your questions.
you downloaded the wrong oneget the one with the libs. and then just read the readme file.

First, I do not see one with libs. Second, I do not see a readme file. Third, I see a FAQ file but that does not tell me anything.

if you have red hat 8 or 9 might want to look at xfce4 they have rpms and you dont have to edit any files. www.xfce.org
