Yeah. I blieve the same thing happens if you also have netscape installed.
Ok, I'm currently using Gnome 2.2 with Debian Sid, and I must say, I'm beginning to like gnome much better then KDE.
Anyway, I created a desktop icon for Mozilla & MozillaFirebird, and if I already have Firebird open and then click Mozilla icon, Firebird opens up. Any ideas on why this happens? It seems that I can't open both when Firebird is already open.
But if I have Mozilla open and click Firebird icon, Firebird will open along side Mozilla! Strange huh? Firebird was the last browser that I installed.

what happens if you open a term and try running the command? Does it do it too? If not, check to see what your launcher actually launches.
Yeah I could see that happening...Firebird is kind of the next step in mozilla evolution.
Have you tried Epiphany or Galeon? Epiphany is the official gecko-based browser for Gnome (it's beginning to get really nice), and Galeon is an age-old favorite.

If you start it up in cli it does the same thing.
It's no big deal, I just happen to noticed that it was doing it. It works the same using cli or in gnome. If I already have Firebird open and start Mozilla, Firebird opens, even when I typed the full path to mozilla.
I'm beginning to really enjoy using Gnome. I may make it my default environment for all my distros. ;D
