A few slackpacks ...

Greets all.

I think I have grabbed what I can to fix this atrocious Slack 9 install, and am now going for goodies (mplayer, yadda, yadda, yadda).

I was curious if there are rythmbox or GNOME 2.3.5 slackpacks out there. I suppose I could roll my own, but I dont plan on distribution. So if someone else did the work, why not eh?

And any other ideas of good slackpack repositories would be appreciated. I have, BTW found that linuxmafia (my repository of choice during the 7.1 days) is a pointer to linuxpackages. Which is cool.

Take a look at checkinstall in the /extras directory on the Slack ftp site. Build from source, but you can make packages to install your source build from so you can manage them with the pkgtools.
