    cga and Emacs

    I'm in love! ;D

Demian, thanks so much for getting me started playing with this wonderful chunk of software! I'm gonna give you a karma point- hell, two karma points!

After a bit a rough start (it is a complex animal), I am finding that Emacs is da bomb. I was able to setup AucTeX with no problems, and now have a killer LaTeX environment. Plus, the Python Mode for Emacs is marvolous and the HTML mode is a joy to use.

Lisp is a strange beast, but man, is it powerful stuff!

Wow! I see the light. I see the LIGHT! I am saved!

It sure is. There is no language that can claim to be more powerful than Lisp. And Emacs makes a GREAT Lisp programming environment. Yesterday I tried Emacs+ilisp: WOW! I've always been a Vim fan, but man Emacs+ilisp totally blurs the line between editing and testing. I can write a function, press C-M-x and have the function be compiled in an inferior Lisp process and then I can test it all from within Emacs.
