    post your computers specs (i belive this is a classic)

    (i belive this is a classic)
    alright, here is mine:

    ~~~~~~working~~~~~~
    Asgard:
    Athlon XP 2100+
    80 gig hard drive
    256megs pc2700 ram
    geforce 2 mx400 video card
    sound blaster live
    Slackware 9.0, Linux 2.4.20
    Loki:
    Athlon Thunderbird 1200mhz
    20 gig hard drive
    256 megs pc133 SDRAM
    tnt2 16MB video card
    onboard sound
    Windows 2000 pro
    Idun:
    Pentium 2 450mhz
    10 gig hard drive
    128 megs pc100 sdram
    ISA sound card
    Windows 2000 pro
    Odin:
    Pentium 2 300mhz
    18.2 gig scsi hard drive
    320MB EDO ram
    no sound
    Slackware 9.0 Linux 2.4.20
    Tyr:
    Pentium 200mhz
    1.6GB hard drive
    64MB pc66 SDRAM
    ISA sound card
    Slackware 9.0, Linux 2.4.20
    ~~~~~~Not Working~~~~~~

    Balder:
    Pentium 2 233mhz (dual capable board)
    9gig SCSI drive
    64MB EDO? ram (says EDO on it, looks more like SDRAM, but SDRAM wont fit in its slots, even though it looks exactly the same as far as pins go(i put them next to each other) its just the notch is higher on one, so it doesnt sit in the slot)
    no sound
    no OS

    notes on Balder: needs a new power supply, and if anybody has any info on where i can get a pentium 2 233mhz cpu with ECC support, or knows anything about the ram, please let me know)

    notes on the names: all named after norse gods.

    I have the 8086, the 286, and the 386 machines sitting around, but there is nothing memorable about their specs :P

    The ram condition going on with Fatty and Dads Stupid machine is soon to change. I am giving him my 128 mb stick of pc133 sdram, and giving the machine at the church that runs slideshows the pc100 stick in exchange for a 256 mb stick
    edit: forgot to add my Apple ][ GS !
    also, dad has my pc133 stick now.. *sigh* I am eagerly waiting the 256 mb stick he promised me...
    oops. XP screwed up the win2k partition. *sigh* so much for being partially bloat free.

    Terg, asgard isn't a norse god it's place where the gods live - thus would be the name of your network.

    Also the Windows machines don't deserve As names, they are traitors (Loki will do, but we all know that 2000 isn't Linux' blood brother )

    Okay here are mine...try not to laugh too hard ;D

    protium
    P3-450
    128MB PC100 RAM
    Abit BE6-II Mobo
    SB Live / ATI Rage 64
    DVD-ROM/CD-RW/Zip100
    Arch Linux 0.5

    tritium
    Athlon 1700+
    512MB PC2700DDR
    Soyo Dragon+ Mobo
    ATI Radeon 7500 / Onboard C-Media audio
    DVD-ROM/CD-RW
    Arch Linux 0.5 / Win XP dual

    I also have one other computer (deuterium) but it is in various states of disrepair and I currently have its guts splayed all over my office/workbench. I hope to turn it into a nice Linux/OpenBSD system and turn protium into a router.

    BTW yes my naming scheme is after isotopes of hydrogen. And yes I'm also aware that there's only 3 isotopes. I guess I'll have to move on to isotopes of helium next

    TeRG, just to add a few monsters from the saga of ragnarok for your Windows machines

    Surt - the dragon who burns the earth
    Garm - the dog who slays Tyr in battle on the Vigrid plain
    Midgaardsormen (the worm of Midgaard - who spans the globe) - shallows Tor after having receive banes wound from him.
    Fenrisulven (the Fenis wolf) - shallows Odin - little is told of this in the saga but the fenris wolf is a large part of norse mytology so you should be able to look it up.
