I didnt get a chance to see the vp debate, or the pres debate for that matter as I am at work in the evenings, and there does not seem to be any web cast.
just wanted to know what linux users thought of the VP debates in US yesterday... i thought they were great because i don't have a fundamental hatred of Cheney or Edwards... That's not something I could say about _either_ of the presidential candidates.

the washington post has a video of it i believe, and i know they have a transcript
I got to see it. It seemed more like a father scolding a child than a debate. I will admit that they were better than the presidental debates. I can't decide what annoyed me more, Bush's clueless stare into the camera or Kerry's constant s-eating smile, he must have that thing painted on when he got the tan, probably some two-for-one deal.
i couldn't agree more
You want to see a long word? How about this one:
epäjärjestelmällistyttämättömyydellänsäkääköhän.
That is Finnish for "Even without his/her ability to be disorganized?"
And no. I'm not kidding you.
you people are fucked up ;pOriginally Posted by janne_oksanen

Then there is the definition. Its no wonder the word is so long, it conveys an entire sentence of thought. In English it seems you have to say alot to properly convey a message, but it looks like in Finnish you only need to know the word.
I just had a thought. What if the presidental debates were done in Finnish. With the exponential decrease in words needed to communicate their messages, the candidates could finish in one third of the time! A regular 90 minute debate, done in 30 minutes! w00ty!!
