Getting cool stuff from companies.

Hi,

One of my friends signed some list at a bar now he gets all this cool stuff like free zippos, crome dice, etc.

Does anyone know where I can sign up for this stuff online?

I've had friends on lists like that before. I was on one as well, they genereally are not as great as you'd think. Your basically getting free samples from companies in exchange for your information to be included in telemarketing stuff and other third parties.

They sell your info to other companies as well.

When ximian was helixcode they sent me a free t-shirt just for sending in a comment about the website. Can't beat that. Otherwise, I would stay away from those lists. Leads to too many problems with solicitors getting your name and address.
