Hey, since you are in the military, perhaps you know the answer to this. Would soldiers stationed in battle areas (ie. Baghdad), would they have access to email?

One of my best friends is there, and I haven't heard anything from him. But I figure perhaps they would restrict email access to the soldiers for strategical reasons and such...

Well, yes, he could have access to email. It just depends on his unit, if it is stationary, etc. Plus, there are some restrictions on personal email (it must go through a secure server and it is typically screened for possible intel leaks).

As for Disney World... ;D. I'll just be pleased to be home at that point, so I'm thinking that Disney can wait. Though, there is a little B and B outside Rapid City that sounds rather inviting.

Yes, for a period of time. My new duty station will be in South Dakota. After that, I have no idea. I will be there for a couple of years, then on to another place (maybe Japan or back to Europe).
