    new hardware

Ok, so my old mobo died, and I've got the replacement stuff. Only things I'm keeping from the old system are the floppy drive (from my 286), hard drive, video card, cd burner, and cd-rom.

Aside from being careful about what modules are being loaded on the first boot, should I need to do anything to get my system back up and running properly? This is a linux-only system, so no registry worries or anything like that

i have swapped several ms on my linux systems - they have always acted like very little happened - redhat had kudzo run when it saw the usb2.0 controller - debian did no even notice.
