Actually all you need to do is FDisk drive and delete all partitions - there's no need to make any new ones. The run the Compaq utility and it'll make the partitions for you. Where's the part tha't's untested by men: Go ahead and install the distro of your choice. Given that Compaq's utility uses Grub as a bootloader (and you have to assume it's on the MRB) I can't help but wonder if installing the bootloader on the MRB for RH would wreck with the Compaq installed one. I'm sure you could use some of the Linux utilities to get it right (assuming Compaq didn't do something really screwy to Grub) but it would entail more than I could help you with.
