Gentoo Intall Problem

I've installed Gentoo and over the last couple of days I've installed everything up to mozilla. Right now I was installing a couple last things with I found out that my root partition of 3 gigs is full. Does that sound right?

sound right to me, check /usr/portage/distfiles, there you got all the source files you have downloaded, if you are sure you dont need them you can delete them to save some space

not knowing for sure, but you are likely carrying many packages that are only build dependencies and not need for running certian apps. but unemerging them may likely take the original apps/etc with it.
