Couple of cli questions.

1)
I have just recompiled my kernel and Aterm dosen't seems to work. I think it might be something I accidentally did when configuring the kernel. But I can seem to figure out what it is.

2)
How can I adjust my screen in cli. When I boot up my screen is off center although in x its centered. cli looks like this:

when I boot off my knopix cd cli looks correct:

I could adjust my monitor but that will but make x off center.

Adjusting the monitor shouldn't make x off center. If its a new enough monitor then it will have different modes, and they are each independent of each other

open up xvidtune and try different settings - but don't break anything!!

1) you probably missed some vt settings (virtual terminal)
2) you probably missed some vt settings.
