Setting up Ne2000 NIC in Win2k

Hello, I'm currently trying to setup a Ne2000 NIC in my Win2k box so I can share the connection with a Linux box I have setup.

The problem is, the NIC was found once in Win2k under the name of 'net'. I tried to set it up with no avail. I uninstalled the NIC since I couldn't get it to work. Now, I go to add it again and it does not show up in the Add Hardware dialogue. The win2k box also has Linux on it, and in there you can at least set it up, so I know the NIC is alright.

    Any ideas?

Right-Click on My computer, select Properties. Go to Hardware>Device Manager. That should show all the installed devices.

Right-click on My Network Places, go Properties. that should show a network connection for each NIC.

Well, I got it that far, but I can't ping the computer connected to it through a crossover cable.

Can you post the network settings for each card?
