I have configured my DNS and sendmail and ipop3.

But I have one problem. In outlook express I have to enter the POP server as domain.com instead of mail.domain.com.

If I have the pop server name mail.domain.com outlook express says password incorrect
If I change it to just domain.com it works perfectly.

In my DNS I have an alias for mail.domain.com = domain.com and I have an MX entry to mail.domain.com

I created an alias called dufus.domain.com and put that as my pop server and it WORKS. why doesn't mail.domain.com

Any ideas on what would cause this problem?
