Thread: Samba Server

    Samba Server

I would be setting up a file server using Samba on a Proliant ML310. I have a
WinNT Sever acting as a PDC. Is it possible to use the existing users of my
PDC to Samba? so that i will not create another set of users on my Samba
server. I've read that Samba couldn't act as a BDC, is that still true?

    Re:Samba Server

Yeah I lost an argument on this one a bit ago. Samba cannot act as a BDC, just PDC. I will take a look in my Samba book to see if what you are looking for is possible. You know backup a PDC to a new Samba PDC. Then you can make the Winders box do BDC ... I am sure there is some way to do it...
