Lilo has fancy stuff too like the ability to play tetris before making your decision as to which OS to load ;D

To fix that, what I would do is boot off of my firtst RH disc, and do the rescue mode. Mount all of the partitions somewhere, like /mnt/system/ , and then chroot to /mnt/system/ (so that is your new root, and /mnt/system/boot is your new /boot dir, etc.)

THATS the only wat to change bootloaders in redhat? That sucks ass.

Well, what would you suggest? The safest way is to rerun the install tool to put it on the /boot or the mbr, which needs to know how to modify the setup files. Since all rescue modes use a fake root tree for commands and stuff from ramdisk, the only way to effectively do it is this way. I have no other clue about other methods. But would love to know of a faster and easier method should one exist.

All, thanks for the many suggestions. I have GREAT news, I am up and running both WinXp and RH9 on my laptop. I chose grub as recommended and it installed just great.
