Red Hat 8.0 upgrade to RH 9.0

I want to hear if upgrading from RH 8.0 to RH 9.0 is easy and painless. RH 9.0 officially comes out today, so I know at least some of you will upgrade your 8.0 boxes to 9.0. I'm a little scared to make the upgrade till I hear from some others who have done the same. I want to know if everything that worked in 8.0 will work in 9.0. Thanks.

i upgraded over the weekend - i have not had any issues yet,m except for a X problem that i can duplicate anymore.

one thing - i don't upgrade! i will wipe out / and leave my other partions in tact, but all my apps seem to work nicely.

Hehe, I just ran into issues. It seems that the update packages for UT2003 and Q3:Arena arent installing. I may need to have a friend install the stuff and NFS/OAFS the files to me.

Other than that -- no. Stupid shit like my old home dir stuff conflicting. Vaping my unneded dot-files and dot-folders fixed ALL of that stuff.

Any issues then with games like mine, and the patches. The games install fine for me, but the patches fail.

RH9 is so much better than RH8.0

I too do a fresh install everytime, and RH9 fixed some config problems I had like XCDROAST ;D
