What to do if Linux wont boot (gorn)

all the smileys in this dont seem to be working, seem to be broken.. so i did some checking... the URL to all of them is incorrect, for example, heres a wink and heres its location: http://www.linuxjunior.org/yabbse/YaBBImages/wink.gif
but in the PET, a instead of a wink, there would be a broken image linked to:
    http://www.linuxjunior.org/YaBBimages/wink.gif

another one is "Compiling mozilla and making it as a package" by Ralinx (http://www.linuxjunior.org/cgi-bin/p...play&id=36)

this seems to be common...could be fixed by simply copying all the smilies into http://www.linuxjunior.org/YaBBimaages/

Using smilies in PET is bad pratice... I would recommend we remove them..
The same goes for Ralinx' (at least) use of warez d00d slang like U in PETs.

In short we should have a review meeting on all the PETs to weed out these small "mistakes", to correct layout and spelling...

Just to make them more appleasing to read for newcomers.

i agree short hand like U should be removed, i see nothing wrong with smilies but if others want them gone thats fine by me

i think the images died when upgrading from yabb to yabbse

I find smilies to be annoying when I print PETs, that's all... they are silly (which is good for thew forum, but bad for PETs IMHO)

good point, didnt think of printing.

cloverm- what about the letting us modify pets we wrote, or maybe mods able to modify any pets? if you dont have time for the coding i can do it if you send me the existing pet code, i know php and perl.

    thanks
