    Restrict root logins

    Hi,

    Can someone remind me how to restrict root logins to local terminal only. I'm using RH7.3
    thanx.

    It's been a while....

    Edit the /etc/securetty file For root, remove all entries except for tty1 through tty8

    I did that but I can still ssh in as root.

    any other suggestions?

    You can add DenyUsers root to your sshd_config file to keep root from being able to ssh in.
