Debian help needed

Can any of you folks take a snap of "fstab" in Debian and post it? I have no CDRW/DVD and now its time to get serious.

AND, whats the best Debian help site? Second-best cause linuxfoo.org seems to work well sofar.

Fatal Error, I had the same problem! There is about a hundred ways of getting around it (apparently) at the knoppix.net site. Also, I would like to state that this problem never occurred on my older celeron system, but as soon as I installed it on my newer system, the problem arose!!! WTF!!!

check your bootloader's config, when using scsi emulation you need to specify that for the device in the bootloader for example in grub kernel (hdX,X)/blah root=/dev/hdXX hdc=ide-scsi

Now that I have added a cdrw to my Debian configuration, my cdrom and floppy, that didn't work before, now works, as does the cdrw. I didn't even touch one setting... Does anyone know how to get nfs-client functionality on knoppix?

provided you have the nfs utils installed and the daemon running, you can simply

Code:
mount -t nfs your.remote.host:/path/to/shared/directory /path/to/local
