    ahh, good to know that SuSE 8.2 is fucked, then I won't buy it for the Linux lab at school... thx 'Trane, good luck fixing it.

    I take that back, theres a major prob with my Voodoo3 drivers, unresolved libs and the lot. Dunno who to blame at this point, but Im working with the SUSE tech support now. Until then, Im actually enjoying RH9 (the slack iso wouldnt boot, again)

    Uhh that sucks. A stable distribution shouldn't behave like that with such widespread hardware like a Voodoo card.

    Just for the record I installed SuSE 8.2 on four different machines and never had a single issue. Actually I'm so pleased with this distro that I am seriously considering switching my main machine over to SuSE. It's currently running debian sarge and I'm having some major problems here after the recent glibc updates.

    So did you get your gateway fixed then? Sorry to have to bail like that. I am nly reliably online late at night ;D At 15:00, my dad needs to have any portfolio changes applied for next day effect. So thats why I am usually bailing at 14:30 or so ...
