    Thanks for the tip.

Does RH put the various libraries in wierd directories? Hm..then again that shouldn't matter since NWN was dev'd on a RH box iirc.

Actually it was devved on Mandrake (8.1 IIRC) and I am Running MDK 9 at this moment. It seems that alot of MDK fans out there have problems, as well as debian users. I am hoping to get a copy of Slack in the next day or two, so perhaps whatever is wrong will get corrected this way. Alot of poeple on the forums were running RH 8 and Slack 9, very very few with problems.

    Re:NWN Linux Beta

I got the same message Schotty did when I used Ravage's Installer but it was only beta 2 when I used it last so I imagine that was the problem. If do the classic install using bioware's methods and the beta 4 binaries I get no problems. I'm on chapter 4 right now and haven't so much as seen a crash or a glitch. < knock on wood >

    Re:NWN Linux Beta

It was an old SDL that was giving me grief IIRC. Just installed the RPM and it worked fine then. But with RH9 I have had no issues. A few slowdowns here and there, but thats fine -- still beta level, is it not ;D

BTW Shawn, what class you got? I have my druid up to lvl 20 now (gotta uplad it to the LJR site still ...). I am gonna do a bard shortly.

    Re:NWN Linux Beta

I've got an Elven fighter. Not one the the recommended combinations but it's been fun playing with him nonetheless.

Has anyone tried this in Multiplayer running Linux yet? I've got a box I could run a server on if anyone's interested in playing.
