Mp3/Wav/Ogg Clean Up

Does anyone know of any programs that can cleanup Mp3/Wav/Ogg files? By that I mean, I have an mp3 that I downloaded that has a lot of pops and static. Similar to listening to an old LP with a fuzzy needle. Anyway, I want to clean the sound up so that the pops and static are eliminated as much as possible. Any ideas? I did a google search and all I seem to be able to find are projects/software that clean up disk caches, mp3 directories, etc.

well cinelerra can import and clean up alot of various formats including the ones you listed there. Its free. Its for linux. And it kicks ass.

Looks interesting. I'll give it a shot when I get my computer and stuff in May (it's been packed and shipped :'().
