Maybe they've mastered quantum computers. Or, maybe they don't need computers, they're so damn smart that computers just slow them down.
hey, they don't call it True Assembly Language for nothing. OTOH, they may be experts of genetic manipulation/cloning/etc. - ie. organic beings. in this case, they just grow their equivelant to computers.
