Just install the drivers again. Since you switched kernels, the new kernel doesn't have the driver instructions.
Ok, i recently upgraded from 7.3 to 8. I cant seem to get the nvidia drivers to work correctly. It keeps coming back saying that the nvdriver cant be found. I did all the mod stuff (depmod modprobe, etc) with no usable info. I know that it probably kept my old kernel file and created a new file for the 8.0 default kernel. There was a way to fix this, and i have seen it before, but I cant remember for the life of how to fix this. Anyone got a better memory than me? :-\

Thats just it. I did reinstall the drivers. It still comes back with nvdriver not found.
Did you install the NVIDIA_kernel b4 the NVIDIA_GLX ???
I used the combined driver rpm.
hummss....
which combined one?
i would definaetly go with the 2nd oldest RPM and getting the src one and starting from scratch.
If you do the 2 package install, make sure the kernel package is installed first.
I dont think the glx will install without the kernel module bieng installed.
Sure it will. ;D
At least it did awile back. I screwed it up numerous times that way, b4 I read the docs. :P
