I dont know what the problem is with it. Might just scrap it and do a fresh install and work from there.
If you installed the latest driver you dont have nvdriver, the driver is now called nvidia, or thats how its called on my install from tar

rpm has never worked for me that way. Give the source tarballs a shot. Never failed.
