But I want my desktop to look pretty :P
Tired of this?
Try GNOME!
But I want my desktop to look pretty :P
Never saw that message in my life...
Wow that's strange. KDE's usually pretty good for that kind of thing.
However I do agree that you should try Gnome. With a little theming and customization it can look BETTER than KDE IMO (and not that strange kind of better like fvwm or twm...I'm talking purrrrdy with antialiasing, a clean look, and a killer wm theme).
Seriously folks...give 2.2 a shot.
Just for the record I really did get that message when trying to go to slashdot and LJR. Everyone should try Gnome but everyone should also try KDE ... they both rock for DE.![]()
Bah. Why not use a real window manager, like Ice, which can run both Gnome and KDE programs without a lot of bulk? I like pretty, efficient, and effective.
Gnome smome. I'd rather use CDE than Gnome. I'd rather use console that Gnome. :P

Uh, well, no, not really.
;D
I would really like for when peeps put new (at least to other than them) programs that they make it a link to download. ;D
CDE and ICE sound great but I did not want to search through a gazillion hits on google for them
Thanks

Those screenshots are a bit plain. Here's one of mine from a few months ago.
