Upgrading Mozilla

Hi there.

I've got a whole lot of my friends not yet converted to linux but at least to using mozilla over IE. Now some of them use the mail client, too and they are wondering how to upgrade mozilla without losing their mailbox.

I must confess that I have absolutely no idea as my days of using windows are over since several years ago... So what's the canonical way to do that? Do you save the mailbox (where is it??), remove the old mozilla and install the new one?

hmm...

copy the mail files/settings and if they are gone after the upgrade, replace them ??

Never really tried on win before.
