Clean install and nothing is supported
*whines* I just reinstalled and i only get 640x480 res with 8 bit colors and a awful refresh rate. my nic didnt work until i pulled out my second one. i cant use the builtin update tool until i update it first. i cant even unzip files!
you know how many people say linux is hard to install and requires too much work to setup? tell them to install windows! you gotta /work/ to even get it usable.
bah! and my vid drivers setup.exe wouldnt run so i had to manually install win95 drivers! (98 box)
and before people tell me 2k is better, i know, do you think im installing win on a box to use it? no. i need it to test crap from school where the network is win98/novell

I hear ya man! I run win 98 for games and every time you install, you have to spend like an extra hour just to get all your shit to work, and that's WITH all the drivers on a CD! Windows is easier to install my @$$! :P

I've never had a good install with Windows 98, ME, or XP. 2000 worked when I took my sound card out, and that is the best of all of them.

And lets not leave out all the REBOOTS when you do install something... >

To do anything requires 10 reboots, a reg clean, and a half hour of wasted time.

as i've found, 2k is nice, but its almost the same as xp, just not as dressed up...xp tho is better with drivers and even with using older drivers in some cases...and it has good built in drivers, even for generic stuff..i suggest u give it a try...i can burn u it (dont worry about registering it
