    nfs aint that bad. How are you trying to mount it? If you want, you can put it in your fstab. Otherwise make sure you are mounting it as root.

    That's because your dhcpcd is starting before the networking modules and ifconfig is up. Change the order of starting these two services or make the dhcpcd to start after your system got booted.

    well, open afs is alot better IMHO, but NFS ... works.

    But what I was referring to is the setup. Providing that you have the packages installed, it really isnt that hard to get working.
