Here is a great site geared toward Python, Perl, Ruby, and Javascript. There are also a bunch of other things at this site, too.

BTW...it includes a little questionaire that can help you pick a scripting language. Very cool. Python would be the one it said I would most likely prefer.

Well, the quiz is largely Python oriented. Max points you can get for Python is 6000. Ruby is at 4700 and Perl at 4600. If all could end up with the same numbers of points, it'd be more accurate maybe.
