    terminal & hd

my first questions is how do i get my terminal completelet embedded into the background with no table, titlebar, frames, etc like this...

    http://fluxbox.sourceforge.net/zoom....no_fluxbox.jpg

my second question is that I have my box on dual boot right now, and i want to automount my windows partition /dev/hda1, so how do i do that. and when it is mounted only root can access it, how do i let a normal user account access the partition?

I believe your looking for roottail...
I couldn't find their official webpage. If you do a google search you can find roottail packages.

my regular user account still cant access the windows partition, my fstab is like this...

    Code:
    /dev/hda1 /mnt/hd ntfs ro,noauto,user 0 0
    extra stuff:
    bash-2.05a# ls -al /mnt/hd
    total 8
    drwxrwxrwx 2 root root 4096 Jan 7 17:30 .
    drwxr-xr-x 5 root root 4096 Mar 16 2002 ..
when im in my user account i can type mount /dev/hda1
and it mounts but im not allowed to cd into /mnt/hd and see it. its the same thing for my cdrom, only root can go into the folders once the devices are mounted. when im in my user account and the devices are mounted i cant cd into them, but if they are unmounted i can cd into their mount directories. and when im root i can view everything fine mounted or unmounted.

try changing the group it is mounted for, to something that you are a member of. That should do it.
