it all started when i caught the ferry over to shelbyville, i needed a new heel for my shoe, so i decided to go to morganville, which is what they called shelbyville in those days. so i tied an onion to my belt, which was the style at the time. now to take the ferry cost a nickle, and in those days nickles had pictures of bumble bees on em. gimme 5 bees for a quarter youd say! now where were we, oh ya, the important thing was that i had an onion on my belt which was the style at the time, they didnt have white onions cause of the war. the only things you could get were those big yellow ones.

he started and ran www.linuxnewbie.org. internet.com bought it and paid him, but eventually told him he could continue working, but at no pay. he said screw you and left. linuxnewbie was breaking and sucking and yeah. cloverm started this site to give us a new forum. and it's been a much better one.

I do feel it's important to acknowledge that a few months passed (maybe more) between Sensei's departure and people migrating away.. Honestly, I think Housen's influence is more important than Sensei's for the creation of LJR.

I remember when we had a big vote for the shorthand for the name...

I remember I voted LI-JU because it made a cool sound, and it looked kinda like something japanese, which I saw as a tribute to the Master himself, Sensei..

    I miss the old LNO.
I miss Craig and his naked beauties of stone.
I miss the FoBoT Picture challenge.
I miss the debian vs. Slackware flamewars (because my side always won)
I miss Tminos and his crusade for FreeBSD (and the "debates he had with Craig over this)
I miss the 11000 worshipping threads

but first Internet.com left us with an utterly broken board and then they tried making it up to us with the Housen nazi... and still the board broke several times a week, accounts got lost, etc..... and LNO lost it's charm, but out of the ashes arose LJR....
