Open Source equivilent to Partition Magic

Is there free program out there that's approximately equivalent to Partition Magic? I want something that I can boot off floppy, and resize parititions without losing data. PM is good, but it only has ext2 and swap support as far as linux goes.

most Filesystems support online resizing (you just need the correct patches sometimes), else use LWM or EVMS to control all your disks, then boot of a CD or disk with the ncurses interface on it and resize the shit out of your partitions... but anything like Partition Magic.. no.. not AFAIK

    Have you tried Parted ?(http://freshmeat.net/projects/gnupar...c_id=142%2C147)

The documentation wasa bit unclear in my opinion but this link could help: http://www.linuxnewbie.org/forum/sho...p;pagenumber=2

I second the parted suggestion. First rated open source program.
