    Logitech MX700

I am thinking about getting a Logitech MX700 cordless/optical mouse and is (http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm?pa...p;languageid=1) and was wondering if anyone has one or knows how well they work under Linux. How hard is it to program all the extra buttons?

Man, that's one beautiful hockey puck! ;D Isn't there some program in xfree86 that allows you to map the buttons on your mouse?

I saw it at Best Buy for 65$ but Amazon has it for 48$ (after rebate). It's awsome!

    Probably, xmodmap maybe?

yeah you can map all of the buttons via xmodmap. I do that on a different model Logitech. Basically I have the two main buttons, the wheel (and also acts as the middle button), and a trigger button on the left side.
